9.3.4.3.
Simplified definition of a custom door/window from a 3D model
In this case first you have to generate the 3D solid model of the required door/window, but all the other steps of preparation are unnecessary. After selecting the 3D solids, the program generates automatically:
- the 2D symbol of the door/window from the top-view of the selected elements, and
- the 3D group to which you assign the four lower corner points of the block enclosing the solid as reference points.
- Prepare the 3D model of the door/window with help of the solid modeler.
- Select the Modeling or Toolbox - Door/Window

Simplified definition of custom door/window command:
- Select the 3D elements. Press Enter to finish selection.
- Select the 2D group and 3D group generated by the program in the appearing dialog box.
- Enter the name of the door/window.
- Define the opening around the door.
The program shows you the dimensions of the door, and asks if you would like to save the new door. The program saves the new door in the given category within the Door directory.
